Children's Program Therapist

SYNOPSIS:  Provide clinical services to children and adolescents and their families who suffer from a range of psychological difficulties related to difficult life experiences. Provide oversight of TESSA's Children's Program. 
 
RESPONSIBILITES:
Program Development and Coordination
• Identify Children's Program development opportunities in accordance with        organizational mission, operating philosophy, strategic plan, and best practices.
• Develop, implement and evaluate programming for children at TESSA
• Supervise and evaluate Dove Kids programming 
• Develop multicultural services and programming
• Prevent, identify and remove discriminatory barriers in services provided
• Provide program reports, e.g. the monthly program highlights, as requested in a                          comprehensive and timely fashion
• Schedules all TESSA's Children's Program volunteers and interns as needed
• Ensure all grant-related data and client data are collected and reported on ALICE
• Provide staff and volunteer/intern orientation to policies and procedures for Children's and  Safehouse programs
• Provide support to staff, volunteers and interns for TESSA Children's Program 
• Supervise TESSA interns as needed
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work; Colorado licensure preferred. 
• Relevant work experience in working with child and adolescent victims of domestic violence and  trauma.
• Excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), problem solving, listening, and  inter-personal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• The ability to create and work effectively in a work environment.
• Willing to work evenings and be on call if requested.
• Ability to work well under stressful circumstances.
• Ability to empathize, encourage and guide.
• Knowledgeable and proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance.
• Must be willing to complete background checks.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Fluency in Spanish and/or ASL preferred.
• EMDR Level I and II preferred.

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES SPECIALIST

SYNOPSIS: The position provides advocacy and residential supportive services in the Safehouse in collaboration with the casework team.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
INTERVENTION / CRISIS LINE
* Provides hotline services intervention, safety planning, information, referrals, and support.
• Complete intake phone screen and lethality assessments of victims needing safe housing.
* Provides transportation, when necessary and  possible.
• Communicate necessary information in the  Safehouse data base and shift log book; and follow up on notations left there.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
* Associates Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or equivalent.  Relevant combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or equivalent preferred. 
• Experience with victims and/or similar populations preferred.
* Available to work evenings and weekends, as well as provide additional shift coverage as needed which includes occasional overnight shifts.
• Experience working with children in a group setting.
• Experience or ability to conduct life skills groups to Safehouse residents.
• Excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), problem solving, listening and inter-personal skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work well under stressful and crisis circumstances
• Ability to empathize, encourage and guide

Donor Services Coordinator

SYNOPSIS: The primary objective of this position is to support the technical and logistical back-office needs of the development team, including but not limited to donor database maintenance and events support.  
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
TEAM LEADERSHIP—Donor Database Maintenance and Output:
• Working with the development associate/grant  writer, create, maintain and upgrade donor database
• Conduct thorough “scrub” of database information, creating and executing on a permanent, regular schedule for maintenance
• Enters donations/gifts into database with timeliness, thoroughness and accuracy
• Produces various reports and mailing lists for donation and donor analysis to improve fundraising and marketing efforts, including monthly pledge reminders, gift analysis data and donor profiles, among others
• Works with development department, finance director and executive director to update donor records ensuring all gifts are entered and acknowledged
• Works with finance director to reconcile gift records with accounting office on a monthly basis
• Develops an understanding of the functionality of the software program and utilizes it to streamline or improve donor data management
• Works with software vendor to resolve database issues and perform software upgrades as necessary
• Organizes and properly stores paper and electronic records
• Works with development director to create and report on measureable objectives to assess outcomes of position with regard to accuracy of donor records
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates Degree preferred
• Two years relevant experience; equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
• Expert level of knowledge with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and in donor database management (DonorPerfect)

• Able to effectively balance and coordinate multiple projects at once
• Excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), problem solving, listening and inter-personal skills
• Appropriate judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information
• Function independently, demonstrate initiative, and work cooperatively with people
• Ability to research, compile, and organize information to ensure successful problem solving
• Ability to work well under stressful circumstances
• Ability to empathize, encourage and guide
• Knowledgeable and proficient computer skills
• Valid driver's license and car insurance
• Must be willing to submit to background checks
• Ability to read, write and speak English
